Lexi-Logos Greek Language and Culture center is situated in the heart of the historical center of Athens, at Ermou pedestrian street, in the middle between Monastiraki and Syntagma Square.

The area of Syntagma, with the most important square of modern Athens, and its landmark – the Greek parliament – is the epicenter of modern life, commercial activity, and Greek politics.

Ermou ist eine belebte und lebendige Straße mit Modegeschäften und Einkaufszentren, die zu den fünf besten Einkaufsstraßen in Europa zählt. Auf einem kleinen Platz im östlichen Teil befindet sich eine der ältesten Kirchen von Athen, die byzantinische Kirche Panaghia Kapnikarea, und im Gebäude direkt davor das Lexi-Logos-Zentrum.

Lexi-logos center is located in the most important area of the city, where thousands of people visiting or living in the Greek capital can admire the Acropolis, the Parthenon, Erechtheion and other temples that dominate the top of the hill, or the numerous museums and the monuments and theaters reflecting the glorious past and present of Athens.

Nur wenige Meter entfernt können Sie zum Syntagma-Viertel spazieren und die großartigen königlichen und städtischen Gebäude von Ziller bewundern. Von dort aus können Sie auf dem Weg zur Akropolis das neue Akropolis-Museum, das Dionysos-Theater und ein Stück weiter das Herodes Atticus Odeon entdecken. Neben dem Parlament befinden sich der Nationalgarten und die Ausstellungshalle Zapeion. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich der Tempel des olympischen Zeus und der Hadriansbogen. Das Panathenäische Stadion, in dem die ersten Olympischen Spiele stattfanden, ist nur einen kurzen Spaziergang durch den Nationalgarten oder das Zapeion entfernt.

The hills of Filopapos and Pnyx are also nearby, as well as the ancient Agora, the temple of Hephaestus and the oldest traditional neighborhoods of Plaka, Anafiotika, Monastiraki, Psyrri, Keramikos, at the northwest slopes of the sacred rock.

Our neighborhood, Monastiraki is a vivid area with iconic sights, such as the ruins of the Hadrian Library, the Ancient Agora of Athens, and the restored Lodge of Attalos. The Monastiraki outdoor market has many shops with traditional products, handmade Greek sandals, and a number of shops with various artifacts, jewelry, and more.

In den Straßen von Monastiraki gibt es zahlreiche Tavernen, Cafés und Restaurants mit Blick auf die Akropolis. Gegenüber der U-Bahn-Station Monastiraki befindet sich die restaurierte türkische Moschee, in der jetzt ein traditionelles Keramikmuseum untergebracht ist.

One of the top must-visit places in the area, is the famous Flea Market at Monastiraki, the place-to-be, especially on a Sunday morning!

A little bit further, Thiseio is another traditional neighborhood in downtown Athens, northwest of the Acropolis. The name was derived from the Temple of Hephaestus, which was mistakenly named in reference to Theseus, the mythical king of Athens. The area has many cafés and cultural meeting points. At the wide pedestrian street, you will often see people enjoying a long night walk, among the beautiful surroundings. Thiseio displays a unique layout with many neoclassical buildings dominating the area and it is today one of the liveliest neighborhoods in Athens.
