Lexi-Logos Greek Language and Culture center is situated in the heart of the historical center of Athens, at Ermou pedestrian street, in the middle between Monastiraki and Syntagma Square.

The area of Syntagma, with the most important square of modern Athens, and its landmark – the Greek parliament – is the epicenter of modern life, commercial activity, and Greek politics.

Lexi-logos center is located in the most important area of the city, where thousands of people visiting or living in the Greek capital can admire the Acropolis, the Parthenon, Erechtheion and other temples that dominate the top of the hill, or the numerous museums and the monuments and theaters reflecting the glorious past and present of Athens.

You can walk to Syntagma square just a few meters away and admire the grand royal and municipal buildings of Ziller, and from there on the way to the Acropolis, you can discover the new Acropolis museum, and the theater of Dionysus and a little bit further the Herodes Atticus Odeon. Next to the Parliament is the National Garden and the Zapeion exhibition hall. Not far away are the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Hadrian arch. The Panathenaic Stadium, where the first Olympic Games took place, is located just a short walk through the National Garden or Zapeion.

The hills of Filopapos and Pnyx are also nearby, as well as the ancient Agora, the temple of Hephaestus and the oldest traditional neighborhoods of Plaka, Anafiotika, Monastiraki, Psyrri, Keramikos, at the northwest slopes of the sacred rock.

Our neighborhood, Monastiraki is a vivid area with iconic sights, such as the ruins of the Hadrian Library, the Ancient Agora of Athens, and the restored Lodge of Attalos. The Monastiraki outdoor market has many shops with traditional products, handmade Greek sandals, and a number of shops with various artifacts, jewelry, and more.

One of the top must-visit places in the area, is the famous Flea Market at Monastiraki, the place-to-be, especially on a Sunday morning!

A little bit further, Thiseio is another traditional neighborhood in downtown Athens, northwest of the Acropolis. The name was derived from the Temple of Hephaestus, which was mistakenly named in reference to Theseus, the mythical king of Athens. The area has many cafés and cultural meeting points. At the wide pedestrian street, you will often see people enjoying a long night walk, among the beautiful surroundings. Thiseio displays a unique layout with many neoclassical buildings dominating the area and it is today one of the liveliest neighborhoods in Athens.
