Panayotis Tsoumas

Lexi-Logos Founder & Director

Panayotis attended courses in French Modern Letters, Journalism, Cultural Mediation and Communication briefly before choosing General and Applied Linguistics as his prime field of interest. He graduated from Paris 5 – Sorbonne with a master’s degree. To this day translation is one of the passions of his life.

He gave his first Greek lesson in 1996 and has been unstoppable ever since. After having spent 10 years in France, he came back home in 2005 and founded Greek Language & Culture Center where he spends his days trying to create a world of beautiful connections between people from all over the world through the Greek language and culture.

He appreciates real and imaginary stories in equal measure provided they’re being told in Greek.

Anna Chassanakou

Anna Chassanakou

Lexi-Logos Head, Culture & Art

Anna Chassanakou is an art historian with extensive experience in art curatorship and design of cultural and art history programs. She has collaborated with art foundations, galleries, educational and cultural centers, as well as independent artists.

Holder of Bachelor’s Degree in Archaeology and Art history followed by Masters Degree in Cultural Education

Further specialisation in Curatorship, exhibition design and gallery management.

Currently tutor and head of Art, Culture & Communication at Lexi-logos center.

Sonia Antoniou

Sonia Antoniou

Certified for Teaching Qualification of Trainers for Adults

Sonia graduated with a degree in Greek Language and Literature, specializing in linguistics, and pursued a Master’s in Applied Linguistics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She successfully finished the ‘Routes in Teaching Modern Greek as a Second/Foreign Language’ program at the Centre for the Greek Language, acquiring comprehensive knowledge and practical skills crucial for effective language instruction.

Additionally, she obtained the Certification of the Teaching Qualification of Trainers for Adults of Non-Formal Education, illustrating her dedication to educating adults. Sonia’s enthusiasm for teaching Greek to non-native speakers has been evident since 2017, actively participating in both academic and non-formal educational settings, refining her methods and fostering inclusive learning environments.

Manolis Moutsakis

Manolis Moutsakis

Lexi-Logos Language and Literature teacher

Manolis received his BA degree in Medieval and Modern Greek Studies from the Faculty of Greek Philology, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In October 2019, he enrolled in the MA Rhetoric, Humanities and Education of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is also certified in special education and in teaching Modern Greek as a Second / Foreign Language.

To this day, he has been working as a Modern Greek Language teacher in private education as well as a Greek Language and Literature teacher for native Greek people.

Besides all things Greece, he loves reading and writing as well as learning new, foreign sayings and idioms, bearers of worldviews.

Eirini Patila

Eirini Patila

Eirini comes form a beautiful island which is called Lesvos, located in the northeastern Aegean Sea. She holds a BA in Greek Philology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and also a MA in Social Sciences and Humanities in Education. She extended her knowledge on Greek as a foreign or second language by attending seminars and working as a teacher to non-profit organizations for refugees and migrants.
Furthermore, she has studied and holds her flute Diploma recieved from the National Conservatory of Athens.
Her goal is to install a love of learning Greek in students and cultivate the Greek spirit world-wide.

Sofia Tsimpoglou

Sofia Tsimpoglou

Dynamic and talented Modern Greek teacher

Sophia studied at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where she obtained her BA in Greek Philology, specializing in Linguistics.
After completing her studies, she carried out an internship in Barcelona, at the Greek Community of Catalonia (Comunitat Grega de Catalunya), where she taught Greek as a foreign language to Spanish speakers. This experience further solidified her desire to become a Greek language teacher.
She has since worked as a private tutor, teaching both Ancient and Modern Greek to students in secondary education.
Sophia has a strong interest in foreign languages and learning about the etymology of different words. Outside of teaching, she enjoys drawing, pottery and music.

Dimitra Adami

Dimitra Adami

Lexi-Logos Multilingual teacher

For Dimitra teaching of modern Greek as a foreign language is a source of immense inspiration. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Studies and a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has a lot of experience in translation and journalism.

Dimitra studied piano and choral singing and is passionate about music. Poetry, dance, and theater also count among her favorite hobbies.
